This is my narrative.  It started in 2012, when 2012 was almost over.  It started in 1970, and 1976 and 1978.  It started in 2009 and 2017 and 2018.  It starts today, right now.  I've had a lot of great beginnings, but which one should I start with?

In the beginning, there was dough, and it was without form and my grandma tried to teach me how to form it.  She laughed at my efforts, but when it was baked, I had made food and it was good and I felt a type of control over my environment that I had never felt before.  And it was good.
